Biofuels for a Sustainable Future

The demands for sustainable mobility are becoming increasingly concrete. National and European regulations – in particular the Renewable Energy Directive III (RED III) – require a continuously growing share of renewable, low-greenhouse-gas components in fuels. By 2030, the share of renewable energy in the transport sector is to reach at least 42.5%.

As experts in the processing of industrial residues, we have specialised in waste-based biofuels. These forward-looking fuels do not compete with food production, reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 95% compared to conventional fuels, and can be used immediately in existing infrastructure.

REDcert confirms the sustainability of our biofuels through comprehensive audits of the entire supply chain. These recognised certification systems ensure compliance with all requirements of the Renewable Energy Directive (EU) 2023/2413 (RED III). Through state-of-the-art processing technology at our production facility in Sprakensehl-Bokel, we ensure consistent product quality.

Examples of our innovative biofuel products:

  • LAURINOL light: A diesel substitute made from plant oil-based residues generated during the production of cosmetic or cleaning agent components. This fuel is derived entirely from by-products of alkanol production.
  • BIO-OIL+: A bio-blend component for heavy-fuel-oil-powered vessels, produced from residues of waste-based biodiesel production – a "residue of a residue" that enables near-complete CO₂ reduction.
